Statement from Refugees International President Eric Schwartz:

“The world has lost a kind, compassionate, wise, and clear-eyed public figure, as well a champion for the human rights of those victimized by persecution, human rights abuses, and violence. We at Refugees International are heartbroken by the death of Fred Hiatt, and we offer our most sincere condolences to his family and his many friends. May his memory be a blessing.”
