Sarah Sheffer, Director of Communications

Sarah Sheffer is the director of communications at Refugees International. Sarah has nearly a decade of experience in communications, having previously worked with Burson-Marsteller, a leading global communications firm, and with the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, where she served as outreach manager for Carnegie’s foreign affairs experts. Earlier in her career, Sarah worked in Cairo, Egypt, as a video producer for Thomson Reuters’ breaking news stories and in Washington, DC, as a desk assistant at the PBS NewsHour. She earned a Bachelor’s in international affairs and Middle East studies from Northeastern University.
