Eliza Leal is the digital communications associate at Refugees International. Her experience also includes working in her university’s admissions and career services offices as a senior intern and volunteering at Forging Opportunities for Refugees in America (FORA) as a virtual English and Math tutor. A daughter of a legacy of immigrants, her personal values are deeply entrenched in human rights advocacy and appreciation for storytelling practices in understanding immigrant and refugee experiences. Her educational background encompasses topics concerning social justice, immigration policy, and global humanitarian crises. She earned her B.A. in Sociology and minored in Geography and Classics at Colgate University.
