Yasmin Causer is the Refugees International treasurer (joined in 2025). She is a retired Partner from the Private Client Services Group at KLR, a regional CPA firm. With over 30 years of experience in finance, accounting, and taxation, Ms. Causer has built her career advising high-net-worth individuals and families on complex financial structures. She began her career at Arthur Andersen & Co. and holds an MSc. in Taxation from Golden Gate University and a BSc. in Accountancy from Bentley University.

Ms. Causer now channels her expertise into nonprofit governance, serving as Treasurer and Board Member for several mission-driven organizations. She recently served as the Treasurer and Chair of the Finance and Audit Committee at USA for UNHCR, where she supported financial oversight and regulatory compliance. Ms. Causer serves as Treasurer for the Global Survivors Fund, aiding in foundational governance and financial stewardship for a newly established U.S. nonprofit.

In addition to her humanitarian commitments, Ms. Causer is a passionate advocate for the arts. She is on the Steering Committee for the Middle East and South Asia Curators Circle at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, contributing to inclusive cultural programming and acquisitions. She also serves on Bentley University’s President’s Council, offering strategic support to university leadership.
