Jomana O. Abunahla is a dedicated Women, Peace, and Security Scholar. She has played a pivotal role at the Palestinian Initiative for the Promotion of Global Dialogue and Democracy (MIFTAH), meticulously documenting human rights violations against women and girls in Gaza. As a member of the World Bank Solutions for Youth Employment (S4YE) and Youth Advisory Panel, Jomana represents Palestine, ensuring that Palestinian youth voices are integral to strategic decision-making.
She also participates in UN Women’s programs: Gender Innovation Agora and Young Women Peacebuilders, striving to eliminate gender-based violence and discrimination. As an asylum seeker in Egypt, Jomana’s current efforts focus on collecting testimonies from survivors of the 2023 Israeli attacks who have fled to Egypt, advocating for their urgent needs with Al Rowat for Studies & Research.
