Jomana O. Abunahla is a fellow at Refugees International and a women, peace, and security scholar. She has worked with the Palestinian Initiative for the Promotion of Global Dialogue and Democracy (MIFTAH), meticulously documenting human rights violations against women and girls in Gaza. As a member of the World Bank Solutions for Youth Employment (S4YE) and Youth Advisory Panel, Jomana represents Palestine, ensuring that Palestinian youth voices are included in strategic decision-making.
Jomana also participates in UN Women’s programs: Gender Innovation Agora and Young Women Peacebuilders. As an asylum seeker, Jomana collects testimonies from and advocates for survivors of the war in Gaza who have fled to Egypt.
