Alexandra Lamarche is a senior fellow with Refugees International. Previously, she served as the organization’s senior advocate for West and Central Africa. She has led research trips on displacement crises in Burkina Faso, the Central African Republic, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and Mali, among others. Prior to joining Refugees International in 2017, Alexandra worked on issues of conflict, reconciliation, and migration in the Central African Republic, Chad, Lebanon, Mauritania, and Côte d’Ivoire. Alexandra is currently a Ph.D. student at the Université de Montréal, where she focuses on conflict, displacement, and peace processes in Central Africa. Alexandra is fluent in both French and English.
