Today, more than 68.5 million people have been forcibly displaced from their homes.

44,400 people are newly displaced every day. That’s 31 newly displaced people every minute…over half of whom are children.

This is a global crisis. And it isn’t getting enough attention.

Here’s how you can help:

Our success depends on you. Together we can raise refugee voices.

For 40 years, Refugees International has traveled to all corners of the globe to speak with refugees and displaced people whose stories are largely left untold or forgotten. We work to shed light on those stories and bring them to the halls of political power as we advocate on behalf of the displaced.

In October 2018, RI’s advocate Dan Sullivan traveled to South Sudan, a country where almost four and a half million people are displaced; 60 percent of people do not have enough to eat; and a precarious peace agreement is fueling talk of the premature return of displaced people back to unsafe regions of the country.

The scale of this crisis is unthinkable, yet the plight of the people of South Sudan is not well-known. Refugees International is working to change that.

Tuesday, November 27 is #GivingTuesday, a global day of giving for non-profits such as ourselves. It’s an opportunity to rally our community to raise money for refugees and the displaced.
