Climate Displacement Program Intern 

Refugees International is seeking undergraduate or graduate students who are available to work a minimum 16 hours per week. The Climate Displacement Intern works closely with our Senior Advocate and Climate Displacement Manager as well as the rest of the program team. Responsibilities include researching current climate displacement issues, assisting with writing and editing research reports, drafting advocacy letters, compiling and disseminating news updates, and other additional responsibilities as assigned. 

 

The successful candidate will:

  • Be enrolled in a degree program in international affairs, international relations, public policy or law;

  • Possess strong writing skills, comfort with a variety of computer applications, attention to detail and ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously and independently;

  • Must be available to work a minimum of 16-40 hours per week;

  • Must have an interest in climate displacement issues and advocacy;

  • Knowledge and experience with nonprofits a plus.

We are looking for a minimum commitment of 16 hours per week, Monday – Friday from 9:00 to 5:00 p.m. with a minimum commitment of three months starting mid-January. This is a remote position. Please note that this position is unpaid, but we can help facilitate academic credit.
