The Sudanese government’s genocidal
campaign in Darfur has killed up to 400,000 people and driven two
million from their homes. The international community has struggled to
respond. On April 30, communities across the nation are mobilizing to
demand that our governments act to stop the genocide in Darfur.
Join Refugees International and other members of the Save Darfur Coalition, an alliance of more than 155 faith-based, humanitarian and human rights organizations as people all over the United States join together on April 30th in Washington, DC to speak out and show that we can not stand idly by while genocide unfolds.
Refugees International staff and supporters will be gathering outside of the Capitol South Metro Stop (Blue and Orange Lines), at the corner of First and S Streets, SE, from 1:00 - 1:30 pm. Look for the Refugees International banner. From there we will walk over to the main rally point together.
