22-year-old Diyar Al-Bayati of Iraq worked with the US in Baghdad on over 200 combat missions as a contracted interpreter. In a roadside bomb attack he lost both of his legs. Although Al-Bayati is in need of prosthetic limbs and a motorized wheelchair, the government refuses to grant him more than refugee status, making adequate healthcare off-limits.
