As it Happens: Libya Egypt Border

Not welcome.
That's the message Egyptian authorities are sending to thousands of people trying to flee Libya through the border shared by the two North African countries.

Last week, we heard from the President of Refugees International who told us that the Tunisian government had set up transit camps to provide shelter, food, and a place to stay for those fleeing Libya.But the Egyptian authorities have yet to roll out the same kind of welcome mat.

Michel Gabaudan is the President of Refugees International.We reached him again, this time between the Egyptian-Libyan border and Cairo.
