Chad 2006: Central African girls sell goods for income

For those teenagers who opted not to attend secondary school, there are few activities inside the camps. Their entertainment revolves around playing football, volleyball, and drinking the local brew, bilibili. Income generating activities are minimal or non-existent. Some girls have started petty trades such as selling sweets, food and supplies, while others commute to Gore to engage in prostitution to earn money. Many aid workers strongly voiced their concern that UNICEF is not present to provide protection and assistance to children.
