Elderly refugees and displaced people are often unable to build or construct their own homes upon return. They rely upon their overstretched family networks to assist them. In northern Uganda, the most able-bodied are leaving the camps to build homes and work the fields. The elderly are left behind with the children. Elderly are a consistently overlooked population with particular needs and should not be ignored.
