In the Chouf region of Lebanon, where as many as 60,000 people fled, the schools that were serving as shelter have emptied out. The mayor of the municipality of Deir el Qamar said, "Probably only about 10 percent of the people stayed behind and they stayed with families and friends who took them in. Everyone else left." Humanitarian agencies are now trying to assess who is left behind and what needs they might have as well as work on contingencies in case the ceasefire falls apart and people must flee again.
