Since most refugees don’t have passports, UNHCR issues them papers certifying that they are Rwandan citizens. At the repatriation center they also got clothing, medical care (vaccinations for young children and voluntary testing for sexually transmitted diseases and HIV/AIDS for adults), food, blankets, and soaps. When they reach Rwanda, they will receive cooking utensils before returning to their villages.
