Food is being prepared here in the Therapeutic Feeding Center. Children and pregnant and nursing mothers often require additional nutrition beyond what is provided in the basic food ration given to refugees. Children are selected for therapeutic feeding when they become seriously underweight. About 200 children in this camp are currently being served by the feeding program. Chronic malnutrition is a problem in both the refugee camps and among the general populace of Bangladesh.
