Rohingya children attend primary schools in the refugee camps, but no secondary school education is available. The policy of the government seems to be to limit the services available to refugees to only the most essential, thus not creating any incentive for additional Rohingya to come to Bangladesh and encouraging the Rohingya refugees to return to Burma. Schools are taught in Burmese although most Rohingya speak a dialect similar to that spoken in Bangladesh.
