The eldest member of the family is 96. She rode on one of the donkeys. She told Refugees International that the Janjaweed took 40 sheep, 38 goats and eight cows from the family, leaving it poor and without resources to earn a living. The family arrived at Gallap camp with little more food than a bag of nuts.
