Liberia: Local community helps Ivoirian refugees

The local community has taken in their Ivoirian relatives and friends. Sadly, many of the local community have little or nothing to share with them. Nimba county, where most of the Ivoirian refugees have fled to was destroyed during the war. The return of internally displaced people has been slow and services for returnees are few and far between. There are a few health clinics and some schools being built but the majority of the returning Liberians are missing seeds and tools to reinvigorate agriculture so food is scarce. "The people will risk to die in Côte d'Ivoire rather than die of starvation in Liberia. We are sharing with them but we are also short of food. We are tired of having visitors who ask us questions. We want these people to receive help."
