Afghanistan 2004 - New Stores in Kabul

Since the fall of the Taliban in November 2001, commerce in Kabul has revived with thousands of new stores and commercial buildings under construction. The Taliban prohibited most music and video, but since their fall video and recorded music stores have proliferated. This photo shows a typical commercial street.
