Thailand 2004 -2- Hmong Refugees at Wat Tham Krabok

05/25/2004

Two Young Boys:
These two boys, ages 17 (on the left) and 20, told RI staff, “We will miss this place, the beauty of the Wat,” but  they looked forward to an opportunity “for a new life in a better place.”  Both are hoping for an opportunity to go to school and support themselves.  Previously they worked in the quarries and on the mountains cutting timber, but there had been no work for some time and so they have been doing embroidery to make some money.
