Chad 2004 - Food Rationing

03/09/2004

Refugees receiving their fortnightly food ration under the supervision of the World Food Program.  Every refugee receives grain (usually millet), corn-soy bean blend (CSB) as a nutritious supplement, vegetable oil, pulses and salt.  A full ration provides 2,080 calories per person per day.  WFP has received pledges for about one-half the food they need to provide refugees and other vulnerable people in Chad this year.  (Photo provided by WFP)
