Mustafa, his wife Hadija and their 8 children have lived in Quishtappa since 1979. Mustafa and Hadija were expelled from their home by Iraqi troops and told to relocate to Quishtappa. In 1993-94, the family returned to their home village of Soma and built a house with their own resources. PKK [the Worker’s Party of Kurdistan] forces destroyed the house and the family was forced to return to Quishtappa.
