Honcietta and her son Emmanuel have a story that is all too common in the eastern DRC.  Since she was driven from her home village of Longo 1-1/2 years ago – shortly after Emmanuel was born – she has had to flee twice more to escape war.  She came to Bunia in January 2003.  When Emmanuel was four months old, his father was killed, a civilian victim of war.  Emmanuel is suffering from acute diarrhea and has been hospitalized for a month.
