“I returned to Shaidan (in Bamyan province) about 20 days ago. Half of my house is destroyed, but an organization is going to help me rebuild one room here. I received 25 kilograms of wheat seeds from an organization here. I have land, but there is no water. We hope that God will start the rains. See these plants? They are too small. I didn’t have any [farm] animals, so I had to plough with a donkey. Our biggest concern is shelter. Now it is summer, but we are worried about what will happen when winter comes. I hope they can help me rebuild my house very soon.”
