Afghan women who met with Her Majesty also stated that they did not want groups in North America and Europe to distort their message and feared that Islamic culture was overlooked when outsiders represented Afghan women. As a Muslim, Her Majesty did not pose this threat to the representatives, who welcomed her input and role as a bridge to Western cultures.
