These women were showing us the bricks they had made by hand, in an attempt to construct a center to receive new returnees. They were doing this heavy work despite the lack of food to sustain them. There are many women’s groups in southern Sudan showing great initiative and willingness to support returnees. These groups rarely receive the support they need to enable them to contribute significantly to reintegration of returnees and to social and economic recovery of southern Sudan.
Your support helps us save lives throughout the world.
Ways You Can Help
