The community of Acción Social recently benefitted from the generosity of a Canadian priest, who committed to raising funds to build a school, seen above. It is the only assistance the residents have received, and the school doubles as a community meeting space and a temporary shelter for new displaced people. The priest recently secured enough funding to hire a teacher, and classes had just begun recently for the local children.
