Liberia 2007: A family survives in an officially closed IDP camp

There are still thousands of people who are living in former IDP camps (that were officially closed in 2006) on the outskirts of Monrovia and elsewhere, even though the official return program for refugees and internally displaced persons (IDPs) has ended. There are also unknown numbers of people squatting in abandoned public buildings in Monrovia, many of them internally displaced. Many of them want to return home and they should be assisted to return. Others should be relocated.
