In Sabah, the children of irregular migrants from the Philippines and Indonesia who are undocumented, and whose parents have been deported, often end up living on the street and begin working at a very young age. An unknown number of these children are vulnerable to being stateless. Many of them work long hours pushing heavy carts in the fish markets, like this one in Kota Kinabalu.
