Advocate Veronika Martin and Advocacy Assistant Kavita Shukla are conducting an assessment mission to South and Southeast Asia with a focus on Burmese refugees. They will examine the current protection and humanitarian needs for the Rohingya in Bangladesh, the Chin in India, and Burmese refugees from a number of ethnic groups in Thailand. This mission began in mid-April and will be completed towards the end of May. Veronika and Kavita will file periodic reports from Asia in the course of their mission.
