Larry Thompson leads our advocacy work on behalf of Afghans threatened by war and drought. He has been in the region five times during the last 18 months, including two previous visits to Afghanistan. Michelle Brown and Veronika Martin will join Larry to assess the needs of women in the relief and recovery effort in Afghanistan and will meet with women-led NGOs to discuss their involvement in the reconstruction effort.
