Could 'Worst Floods in Decades' Be the New Normal?

Flooding is not new in the communities of Ayapel. But in the past two years, water levels in this part of northern Colombia have reached heights not seen in almost a century. Confronted by breaches in the nearby Cauca River and longer, stronger rains, communities have been inundated for months and are truly struggling to keep their heads above water.
